Shawn is a multi-generation native Floridian living in Apopka, Florida, with his wife C.J., who owns her own marketing and creative services firm, and their dog Barracuda, who runs the show. Their son Zachary, recently graduated from the University of Florida with his B.S. in Food and Resource Economics, works for Yellowstone Landscape and lives in the Orlando area.
Shawn holds a B.S. in Finance from Stetson University and a M.B.A with a concentration in Investments from the University of Central Florida and is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ certificant. His focus areas include investment and cash flow planning for those saving for, or currently in, retirement, goal setting, and investment help for those just starting their financial future.
For more than 20 years, Shawn has worked in the financial services industry. He spent more than 13 years with Charles Schwab & Co, working with everyone from active traders placing complex equity and options trades with a focus on risk management to Schwab Private Client where he assisted high net worth clients develop detailed financial goals and constructed diversified investment portfolios to accomplish those goals meeting regularly to ensure progress was being made. In 20I2, he joined Penn Liberty Wealth Advisors as their Chief Investment Strategist to help the community bank grow their wealth management division. When Penn Liberty Bank was sold, he joined NEW Wall Street and later JK Jones Financial Network, working out of the Clearwater and New Smyrna Beach, Florida branches to serve our clients in this area. Industry registrations include Series 7, 9, 10, 63, 65, 66 and State of Florida Insurance and Variable Annuity. Shawn enjoys boating, fishing and any time spent on the water, watching and participating in sports, and traveling with family.
